EWÅ Värnamo B-52 — Orange-Red Wrinkle Lacquer, Sweden, 1950s The B-52 is the most distinctive and collectible lamp in the EWÅ Värnamo range, and its sculptural three-pronged cast tripod base is why: three sculpted prongs radiating from a central hub, in a form unmistakably of the Atomic Age — quite unlike the standard EWÅ gooseneck's simple triangular base. The vivid orange-red wrinkle lacquer runs uniformly across base, stem, and shade, unifying the lamp into a single sculptural object. The finish — achieved through controlled paint-shrinking — gives the metal a tactile depth that only improves with age. Manufactured by EWÅ Armaturfabrik, founded by Erik Wärnå in Värnamo, Sweden. This model sits at the top of their range and is widely considered the most sought-after EWÅ design among collectors. Condition: very good vintage condition, lacquer vivid and intact, tripod base stable. Electrical components should be inspected by a qualified electrician before use.
