RIOT contrasts a compact metallic structure with a fluid line of suspended pearls. A polished stainless steel ear cuff anchors a fine chain punctuated by shell pearls in different scales. The rigid form of the cuff and the movement of the chain create a deliberate tension between structure and softness, while the irregular placement of the pearls keeps the composition graphic rather than traditional. Small in scale but expressive in movement, RIOT uses contrast as its defining element, allowing the chain and pearls to shift freely around the ear.
